Early Intervention Services are provided to children birth through two by a joint effort through the Early Childhood Council. Help Me Grow, as part of the council, provides Service Coordination for eligible children in Hocking County. They are responsible for Service Coordination, Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) Development and Transition Planning. The Hocking County Board of MR/DD is a direct service provider.

The Board provides allied therapies; including speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, family support service and intervention services with an Early Intervention Specialist.

The Early Intervention Specialist determines eligibility (for MR/DD services), coordinates and intervenes during therapies and provides home visits along with providing input for the IFSP related to all MR/DD services. The Early Intervention Specialist works closely with the Help ME Grow Service Coordinators to ensure the highest quality of services for all MR/DD eligible families.
