HVI subcontracts with local industry and through Ohio Industries for the handicapped to provided work for HVI employees, in addition to providing habilitation, vocation, and community employment options.

Transportation, to and from the work site, is also provided by the Hocking County Board of Mental Retardation & Developmental Disabilities.

Another type of support offered to HVI employees is identifying and securing competitive employment with time-limited support in the community. HVI collaborates with Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (BVR) to ensure proper on-the-job support and coaching. Our involvement with BVR has increased dramatically over the past year.
